Using Our Noodle at Pasta Plant

A major manufacturer of pasta products has relied on Helmkamp for a number of years for equipment maintenance and installation and general plant maintenance. Helmkamp maintains a full time crew of millwrights at the customer’s plant. The plant manager knows that whatever the issue Helmkamp will deal with it efficiently and effectively.

When it came time to replace one of the major pasta dryers in the plant the owner briefly entertained the idea of putting the project out to bid. Helmamp’s proven performance and cost-effective approach to the project resulted in a negotiated award of this bid.

Helmkamp’s crew coordinated closely with the plant personnel, the manufacturer’s rep, and specialty trades on the project. The two-story tall, block-long dryer arrived from Switzerland in hundreds of crates. Within schedule, the glitch-free installation was complete and the line was cranking out thousands of pounds of spaghetti, bow ties, and other pasta products per hour.
